The growing up in the house
| We breed British Shorthair on a small base. I guess three or four litters a year. Because of this we have enough time to give each kitten the attention he needs. | |
| All our kittens are born in the livingroom. Our two young kids, the mouse and a dog visiting once in a while make our kittens very sweet and good socialised. They are used to all kind of domestic sounds as the vacuumcleaner, music and playing kids. | |
| They only scratch at the various scratchingposts in our house. | |
| The cats are free to use our entire house and therefore they have enough of living space. Because of this we have a close group in harmony without fights. |
Feeding, hygiene and health
| All cats, including the kittens starting with 5 weeks, eat dry Iams catfood, which has a very good quality. | |
| We only breed with PKD and HCM negative tested parents. The HCM ultrasound is performed every year. | |
| At least twice a year our vet gives the cats a full examination. | |
| Each year our cats will be vaccinated and tested for FELV en FIV. | |
| Our cats are not allowed to walk outside but are kept inside or in our outside caged fence. | |
| Hygiene is a very important item in the cattery, because this is a must for good health in cats. |
